I have some interesting info on this...

I can use the libflashplayer.so in Firefox just fine w/o the fix, but my processor is not reporting to support lahf_lm in the /proc/cpuinfo. So, it seems like there may be
two different bug cases here.

1. BIOS reports lahf_lm function when it is not supported.
2. lahf_lm is not supported and not reported.

Just a little thought I had. Not sure if I'm adding any value here or not since I'm a mere mortal and don't know as much as you guys about this issue. Maybe the issue is
fixed either way with the patch supplied for bug 29789.

BTW: My processor is pretty much the same as thestig's as it is a family 15/model
4/stepping 3.
