Try manually removing Chrome

Then use this and subscribe to Beta
http://chromium.googlecode.com/files/chromechannel-1.0.exe
I did that when moving from 3.x to 4.x and it fixed the UAC issue... but I
am not sure why it fixed it.
Maybe it will work for you? Worth a try.
