I experienced this bug too. I made a test case in preparation to file a
bug, but then
I found that this bug was already here :)
Anyway:

In chrome and safari on both windows 7 and snow leopard, the firebug lite
console
reports "active element: <body>" after clicking the link.
Note that Internet Explorer 8(win), firefox 3.5(mac,win) and opera 10.10
(win)
reports the anchor as the active element instead.
