New issue 32447 by [email protected]: Selecting multiline text with keyboard is inconsistent with Windows behavior
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=32447 Chrome Version : 3.0.195.38 (Official Build 34131) Other browsers tested: Firefox 3.x: OK IE 7: OK IE 8: OK What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Place your cursor in the middle of a textarea full of text. 2. Hold Shift and press the Up arrow key. This highlights the text between your previous position and your current position. 3. Continue to hold Shift and press End. What is the expected result? The cursor will move to the end of the current line, adjusting the selection as necessary. What happens instead? The cursor moves to the end of the original line, adjusting the selection. (See attached screenshots.) Please provide any additional information below. The same thing happens with Shift+Down/Home. Shift+Up/Home and Shift+Down/End work as expected. This problem can also occur with page content text when you start with a mouse selection and use Shift+Home/End to adjust it.
