Things I'd like to see in the first version of Chrome Extension: Add to the UI: can add extensions to a toolbar container at the very least. Must support common UI widgets (dropdown, radio button, textbox, button, etc). Would be nice if the whole browser UI is accessible via extension. Themes could be done through the extension API.
JavaScript support. HTML support to define UI elements. (XUL is nice; however, even a limited subset of html would be good enough for initial extension support.) Access to sound, network, graphics APIs beyond what HTML provides. Readwrite access to each tab's DOM. Ability to instantiate NPAPI plugins inside the extension UI. (it'd sure be neat to use flash in a toolbar or play video in a sidebar.) Is there a proper place to post wishlists?
