Hi there, I had not noticed that.
The problem seems to be more about the priority given to things in the Omnibox. For instance I have play.com installed for searching. When I type Play in the omnibox the default is to google 'play'. If I scroll down the list of Omnibox suggestions and highlight my play favourite the Tab message does appear.
