If you do not have a chrome or chromium that you placed in your $ProgramFiles path you can stop reading now.
Due to a series of changes in the last month, the app now thinks it has been installed systemwide. This triggers a series of side effects, which you might not want to experience. I believe many of them are only visible in chrome and not in chromium. There is no exhaustive list of the side effects, they might include dizziness, nausea and hot flashes and random behavior. Do not use this path if you are taking other medications or you are testing install issues.
