Thanks for taking the time to send this out. It was a good learning experience. I have a tangential comment/question, but didn't think it was worth splitting off a second thread.
Any thoughts how well extensions will play with our drawing system? Our plan is to allow multiple surface areas in the UI which will be drawn by renderers. Chrome's current backing store cache seems like it was optimized for the 1-tab-at-a-time case, but soon we will be able to have multiple renderers (an arbitrary number, really) visible at all times. What happens if the number of visible renderers exceeds the cache limit? Obviously it's possible to pull tabs out and show more than 5 windows at once.
