*Report for 2009-2-17* We are getting close to being able to push a release to the beta channel. We need to get a sudden jump in regressions under control and we need to resolve a few more common crashers. We are making great progress and we are very close!
*Layout Tests* We are over halfway to our goal and closing in on 200! We are not passing almost 80% of all of the tests and over 97%<http://www.corp.google.com/~jonc/webkit.html>of the ones we have targeted. The Mac team is at about 95% <http://www.corp.google.com/~jonc/webkit-mac.html> of Want to Pass and the Linux team is at 95.5%<http://www.corp.google.com/~jonc/webkit-linux.html> ! We don't want to step on each other's toes. All Tests is based on all available layout tests including those that we are currently not trying to pass. There are tests in this group which are known to be bad or relate to future technologies. Want to Pass is based on the tests that we need to be passing before we will ship a revision of the browser. Getting this number as high as possible is the goal of the stabilization effort. Some of these tests are failing due to subtle changes that require the test to be re-baselined. Crashers We have been making good progress on crashers and it shows in our chromebot runs. Even with the randomizing effects of the WebKit merges we have been able to keep the renderer crashes and plugin crashes in check. We really want to get a build into the beta channel and these crashers are the biggest hurdle in our way. http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/list?can=2&q=label:stable+label:crash+-Channel:stable *Purify Bugs (Memory)* We have 16 remaining Purify issues. We have three P1's looking for an owner. Please take one<http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/list?can=2&q=label:stable%20label:purify%20-Channel:stable&sort=status&colspec=ID%20Stars%20Pri%20Area%20Type%20Status%20Summary%20Modified%20Owner> . *Regressions* We 21<http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/list?can=2&q=label:stable+label:regression+-Channel:stable>remaining regressions. Right now we are getting killed on regressions. It appears something in a recent merge is causing us a lot of trouble. Unfortunately, the problem sites include Google Apps. *Other bugs* We have 9 "other bugs" to resolve.
