So, different native toolkits for each platform.
But while Windows has mfc and Osx uses cocoa/carbon, i wonder what is
"THE" native toolkit for linux (?)

Or, if you prefer, why did you choose gtk over qt (at least) on linux?
It's very strange, since google earth uses qt...
