I've noticed a good deal of helpful bugs filed recently for linux by people who are not developing chromum. Our splash page still says:
"Please don't file bugs: this point there are so many gaping holes that finding bugs is not the problem and dealing with them is just a distraction." I think it's time to reword this, as users filing bugs has already proven helpful (to me anyway). Also, I don't think we're really treating it as a pre-alpha any more since user-requested features (such as hotkeys, ui elements, etc.) are getting priority. So I propose to update this page. I think instead of the "please don't file bugs" it should point users to crbug.com, but implore them to report crashers and other broken things rather than missing features, and tell them to use the search first and whatnot. Of course if people completely ignore this splash page (which they seem to do) I guess it's a moot point. -- Evan Stade --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Chromium Developers mailing list: [email protected] View archives, change email options, or unsubscribe: http://groups.google.com/group/chromium-dev -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
