mark, this is why i stated that i know it works on 2008SP1 and it is very much documented this /MP swtich, and so far it never led to any problem... not in chrome and not in my own projects
you anyways detect the environment, so you know if you run 2008 or 2005 also, i saw some people complain that their computers "melt" during a compile but the easy solution is to also patch cl.exe and link.exe and start then with the IDLE_PRIORITY_CLASS the IDLE_PRIORIT_CLASS is a trick i used for many years and it never leads to any problems besides, i do not with to annoy anyone you do not have to do it :) and one last note : when i report build erros or things this is Always after a full re-build with your orig .vcproj and .vsprops and i never saw it solve anything meaning my changes do no harm --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Chromium Developers mailing list: [email protected] View archives, change email options, or unsubscribe: http://groups.google.com/group/chromium-dev -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
