In general, any time you change a .sln, .vcproj, or .vsprops, you should
restart Visual Studio.  While this isn't always necessary, it can prevent a
lot of very cryptic bugs.

This is also why you should restart Visual Studio when doing a gclient sync
-- one of the above types of files may have changed.
