Chrome and Firefox extensions are both cross-platform (in the OS sense). > And in many cases the extension delivery > mechanism is under the control of an arbitrary third party (i.e. Google, > Mozilla, Apple, etc) who has control over which extensions can be hosted, > which is not particularly "open-web"-by. That isn't true. In the case of both Chrome and Firefox, extensions can be installed from anywhere on the web, though it is true that there are additional UI roadblocks for the case of installing from an untrusted source. - a --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Chromium Developers mailing list: [email protected] View archives, change email options, or unsubscribe: http://groups.google.com/group/chromium-dev -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
