We had looked into using parasite back in the early days, but I forgot about it due to 32/64-bit stuff. But now that we've grown up it's trivial to build. If you're within the Google network you can scp bunny.sfo:/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libgtkparasite.so /tmp sudo cp /tmp/libgtkparasite.so /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/modules/libgtkparasite.so and then GTK_MODULES=gtkparasite ./out/Debug/chrome And it'll just work.
