That post suggested the entire User Data folder. I knew about this file long ago. However, the nature of the bug I was trying to overcome had to do with something that was not quite kosher within that folder. So I didn't want to just blindly copy it over. I tried scrounging through the files in there and didn't see anything that pointed at the search engine settings.
