On Linux at least we don't allow any bitmap fonts, because (as I
recall) of some disconnect between the time we request a font name and
a later point where we request the font size.

Like most font issues, half of our bug reports (particularly from CJK
users) are "your non-bitmap fonts look worse than Firefox" and the
other half are "your smooth antialiased fonts look better than
Firefox".
