i think the point is to NOT have to always permanatley save a file
just to view it.

sure everything gets DL to a temp file/folder, but that will eventualy
get deleted, and usually completely under the radar.  The average user
will not/does not know or care to understand the whole "everything
goes to a temp folder while on the internet" (IMO they honestly
should)
