First of all, great frickin' browser! I downloaded and installed GCBeta on Friday evening and played with it until Saturday, and I do like it a lot! A couple of suggestions/observations in my initial use:
1) A recent add-in to Firefox allows newly opened tabs to be spawned immediately to the right (or for international compatibility, to the left) of the existing tab, rather than default to spawn at the far right. That would be a great Settings addition - to choose the location of where new tabs spawn. 2) The one thing (right now) of holding me back from 100% use of Chrome is the fact that my work email is Outlook based, and the standard Outlook Web Access appears differently in IE than in any other browser - and unfortunately, that means some loss of functionality. Taking another tip from Firefox, there is a plug-in available that will render pages in "IE" (or a reasonable facsimile thereof) and works flawlessly (as far as I've seen). Users with this plug-in installed have the option to change the rendering engine. So, a nice built-in feature would be to be able to right-click on a page's tab, and be able to Select Rendering Engine - IE, Chrome, or even Firefox (I did stumble across a page this morning that gave me a warning about possibly not being compatible with my browser). Awesome work, though, guys! Continuing the trend of making Google my favorite tool on the web!
