Is this really the case? If I call window.open() to load another page in
a popup why shouldn't this new window get a fresh new independent
javascript thread? Are there really applications out there that use
alert() in one window to stop all javascript execution in *another*
window? Is this a documented feature at all? Or is it more like a known
limitation or sort of a bug of currently known browsers? If I were a
javascript developer i wouldn't rely on this. I would rather see all
windows as independent, i have never tried it because i wouldn't use
alert() if i could avoid it but if i would, i would rather see it as a
bug if they did share the same thread.
