I am with these gentlemen above completely.

I'd be a fan if not for the inability to hide the 'recent bookmarks'
box. My wife walked into the room, she says "what are you working
on?". I had just installed Chrome probably 2 minutes before and was
about to give it a going-through. I said with some level of
enthusiasm, "I'm just about to give Chrome a try." I went through one
or two of the tutorials then set my default site (google.com). With my
wife over my shoulder, I clicked to open a new tab ... half the links
were fine, professional, boring, geeky stuff. However, out of about 30
folders I had in my favorites (bookmarks) I had 1 little folder
dedicated to erotica. Unfortunately for me, some of the bookmarks in
it were recent.

Not cool. My wife knows I surf porn now and again like most every
other guy and overall, she doesn't care too much about it. That said,
it is a whole different thing when she looks over at the list and sees
the details. Not what I was looking for in my first 5 minutes of use.
She was definitely curious as to what AutoC was. She wasn't amused
when I explained that one.

Since she has walked out of the room with a big smirk, I have piddled
around with Chrome and I like it very much. Took a spin over to some
sites with lots of video and 3d cgi ... the browser seemed pretty lean
and fast with rich media. I even like some of the features.

But, every time I open a new tab ... there it is, my recent porn
bookmarks ... lame.

Sure, I could open an incognito window every time I want a new
workspace but I don't really want to go through that hassle. I just
want a new window that opens to the simple, solid, Google search site.
That's what I expected it to do when I set all my defaults to
google.com.

You guys have to do something different with that feature.

Thanks
