We have worked hard to make sure that Chromium will build out of the box by follow the directions:
http://dev.chromium.org/developers/how-tos/getting-started It is very specific and clear about what is required, Visual Studio 2005 SP1 with the Vista SDK. If you have experience building very large projects that require very low and tight integration with the underlying compilers and platform, we are more than welcome to accepting patches to improve our build. I think it is a much bigger challenge than you might realize.
