Just for information purposes, I'm using Avast! 4.8 edition and Comodo 
Firewall Professional (latest) and haven't had any compatibility 
problems involving Chrome. I'm also using "Privoxy" to block ads which 
works very well. It uses IE's proxy (LAN configuration) dialog which, 
just as it happens, also gives you ad blocking in IE and Opera as well 
(Opera just picks up IE's Proxy/LAN configuration settings).
