Hi, Many people these days have multiple web pages open at once and switch between them frequently.
And so, why not help them get up to speed as quickly as possible when they switch to a page? For example, when switching back to the reddit front page, the browser, could show a delta to help you identify what's different about it. A much more involved example involves someone watching a long video while doing other things. The browser might assume that the user is always listening but not always watching. And so when the user switches back to the video, somehow the browser will try to bring the user up to speed on the video as quickly as possible (e.g., by showing key frames in the video perhaps along with some text, etc.).
