There's a new bookmark manager already incorporated in the latest "passed all tests" build of Chromium. It's similar to the one that was in Firefox 2.0 for comparison purposes. Since Chromium is the development version of Chrome, Chrome will see this new bookmark manager as soon as it's complete I'd imagine. Until then, if you wish to check out and offer your suggestions on the new bookmark manager, you get the latest "passed all the tests" (doesn't mean bug free though) build here:
http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/continuous/LATEST/ (for non-programmers not familiar with compiling, use the mini installer) Please keep in mind that Chrome development is a work in progress and although very much "user driven", nothing ever happens immediately.
