Hi Amir, This feature will be addressed by Greasemonkey.
There isn't official Greasemonkey support yet, but it is being worked on. There is also a third-party solution called "Greasemetal". Greasemonkey lets you install user scripts in webpages, to implement features like this one. For your scenario, this script would probably work: http://gavinsharp.com/scripts/TextAreaCharCount.user.js On Tue, Nov 11, 2008 at 9:34 AM, Amir Michail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > On Nov 10, 10:04 pm, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: >> In my opinion, this should be left to the web developer and not the >> browser. > > And what if the web developer does not implement this feature? > > It's really annoying getting an error message that the input is too > long and not knowing exactly how much shorter you need to make it. > > Amir > >> >> On Nov 10, 4:27 pm, Amir Michail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> >> > Hi, >> >> > This would be useful in cases where there are limits.
