So far, I like Google Chrome and I'm interested in seeing the project continue. However I have two feature suggestions that I feel are critical to Chrome becoming actually productive for me.
Firstly, why is it that every file i download is saved? In Internet explorer (and I'm pretty sure most other browsers) it gives you an option to either save or open the file. I actually find that i use the open option much more then the save option. This way I can access files that I will never need to access again and have them cleaned out when I'm done with them instead of having them saved to my hard drive in among the files that I DO need saved and preventing me from sorting through them later to clean up my hard drive. I also came up with another idea that isn't really a must have but I think it would be kinda cool. In Internet Explorer, I had stopped using the built-in bookmark system and had been using the system in the Google Toolbar instead. I liked this because i had the bookmarks in the browser as well as on my iGoogle page. I was a bit let down to find that the bookmarks in Chrome were independant of that system. Now, any bookmarks I have in chrome aren't put onto my iGoogle page, and any bookmarks on my iGoogle page aren't on the bookmarks bar on Chrome because there is no Google Toolbar in Chrome. (By the way, don't make Google Toolbar for Chrome. I'd rather see all the functionality of the toolbar build into Chrome as clutter-free as possible.) Anyway I just thought that the bookmarks system's integration with the old Google Bookmarks system would be really cool and really handy, so I figured I might as well point it out. Keep up the good work, and hopefully this makes it into the hands of someone able to take my thoughts into consideration with the future of Chrominum =) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Chromium-discuss" group.
