Way to go, Mark!! I am so proud of you guys. This was such a necessary site. I was hearing of too many people out here in land-space (not cyber-space), that they were disconnecting their Interent services. It has been a very challenging position for me, to be a guinea pig of sorts, to let the techs & programmers share whatever they wanted over the past couple of years. Hence, someone at Google gave me my Username, URNUTEACHER, which has made me very proud to be any part of making Google, the most unique site on the Internet, a better place, or another special place for a Website, or membership site. You have, without a doubt the greatest iGoogle homepage; and it was so much fun putting it together. Unfortunately, it changes every time I open it now, but I know my ignorance of technological instructions might be a big part of why most "handshaking" problems arise.
I know you had other groups - I even tried the Google Terms and Words for Idiots, but I got some spam, and some insults from people who did not understand the word Idiot, so I am the only one writing!! It looks as though the Name picked for this group is a great name to attract just the people I wanted to chat with each other (teach and learn). I do not understand PC's from the inside out - only from the outside in! That means I like to pick a picture, and type a few words, and make things happen (Apple Macintosh programming - I had an SE30) that was genius. While Microsoft became rich, writing wonderful applications, it forgot how to convey them to people like me - who studied another area of life (like medicine). If I gave you some typed instructions on how to do a cholecystectomy, could you operate on a patient and make it a success??? I didn't think so. I have been trying to get a proper wetsite, to direct my almost 3M connections from LinkedIn.com when I have something worthwhile to share. Did I mention I applied to Yahoo to be the next CEO. What do you think? I have some great ideas to make it unique on its own merits. They are a great company and deserve to be up here with the great names - Google, MSN, Yahoo. I don't want to see them fall. Without knowing IT terminology - but most employees having that knowledge, I can direct all teams with meetings and overseeing. I need some recommendations.....I have over 1,000 connections with my techs & programmers in Silicon Valley. Unless Google needs me and can pay me something, I must jump ship. I will always be overlooking and sending my opinions and comments. If you can get rid of the spam; we can make a manual for teaching this very important last line of communicating with the population. I am very proud of all of you.
