I also did that without any change. This is an annoyance which is
going to force me to switch back to IE when I need a certain site.

Yes, it's for a reason, but not everyone has that reason (some people
don't make credit card transactions, etc.) and many others know the
reason and are willing to sacrifice the warning for more efficient
browsing. There's a certain website I look at every day which has a
list of about 200 items, and I need to click on details about some of
those items, and then I need to browse back to the list. With IE it
simply returns to the list, but with Chrome that obnoxious
confirmation request appears, and I don't have the time to go to the
top of the browser and reload the page on every item. I make about
two or three credit card transactions each year and I'm very careful
as I am doing them. I am willing to risk the chance of making a
duplicate credit card transaction in order to alleviate the need to
click on the reload button up to 200 more times each day.

I understand that this is Google Chrome's way of preventing users from
shooting themselves in the foot, but they should know--especially with
an open source product--that a lot of users prefer freedom over
security. It doesn't seem like a difficult problem to fix, and they
need to do it soon.
