More sites are implementing a "friendly url" style navigation and it would be nice to for an "Up" button. For example going up from the wordpress blog page http://user.wordpress.com/2008/12/18/my-first-post/ It would be nice to view the archives at http://user.wordpress.com/2008/12/18/ with a single "Up" click. Windows explorer has this button under the "Standard Buttons" for navigating directories.
I think what Rahual is referring to is bread crumbs navigation. Newegg does a really good job of this. They allow going up AND removing certain filters shown with an (x).
