There is also a webkit port for Qt.

I think the reason Qt is not being used is due to licensing issues.
Chromium is licensed under the BSD which can not be mixed in with the GPL
(what Qt uses)
without making Chromium GPL. I think Google wants to use a more permissive
license than the stronger
copyleft GPL.
