To clarify: yes, I already know the address bar also serves as the
search bar in chrome. However, some of us miss the Google search
box. I was responding to OP's point (as I interpreted it) of
preferring to perform a search via the Google search box (which is
located to the left just under the address bar within the Google
toolbar). Maybe it's just force of habit, but I find myself wanting
to type my keyword there. It's just something you get used to
doing. My point was that you can still search from that approximate
location by placing the google homepage on the "bookmarks" bar since
it appears under the address bar where the google toolbar normally
would be. And if it's one of your first bookmarks there, it will
appear on the left, where the search box normally is. So, you
"almost" get your google search box back.
