Sorry for taking so long to answer.
I was using 1.0.154.36. Now I just updated to .43 but the bug is still
there.
I took some screenshots of this issue, the version of Chrome is
1.0.54.43;
It's on http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/6935/youtubebugnz5.png
1) The 1st screenshot (on the top of the image) is a normal "abcd efg"
search field.
2) Then I came back to the middle of the text, after the white space,
with the arrow key ('<').
3) Then I typed "h", "h" replaced "e", so the search field looked
"abcd hfg". The expected behaivour would be the search field be "abcd
hefg", since Insert flag is off.
4) Then I typed "i", now look how strange the search field became. It
appears that "i" replaced partialy "e".
5) This is the last screenshot, I typed "j" and again it looks weird.
I didn't take the result search screenshot, but the search field VALUE
was "abcd hijefg" but it LOOKS like the last screenshot.
Hope this enlighted you all about this problem.

Subject: Youtube Search Field Bug
To: Chromium-discuss
Hmm that's strange, I've been keeping an eye on this discussion post
all day and what i CAN confirm is that i am running the 1.0.154.42
latest dev channel build (not been using daily trunk builds, but will
start testing them also) and i have had NO problems whatsoever
onyoutube. In fact I have been onyoutubeall afternoon trying to
replicate this issue regarding inserting text in the search field and
deleting, then retyping and searching, and every time i have, it has
worked PERFECTLY. Maybe i'm just lucky or everyone else is unlucky,
but for me it's working grand and has done since this current dev
channel build and the one before it. I had issues in older builds
alright, and plus i have never on this computer ran any trunk builds.
Here's what i am running : HP dv 9702 ea,
vista home premium 64 BIT,
6GB RAM
AMD Athlon 64x2 Turion
Google Chrome Dev Branch
Release : 1.0.1.154.42
I know i'm only listing the obvious about my set up, but maybe it's
something that's affecting it's handling onyoutubethats to do with
user set up that's say affecting say only 32 and not 64 bit vista or
xp etc, as0 you never know where these things pop up, anyways i have
included it just incase it helps and is relevant.
Kind regards,
Simon.
