Hi I have some ideas on how the ui could be improved: New tab window: - rss viewer - real live snapshots of user-selectable pages that can be browsed and eg. by double-clicking onto them you could make them full size, then again snapshot-size - ability to delete certain pages from the most visited list - last closed tabs-box should contain tabs closed before quitting chrome when you start it again, and not only 3 but 5-8-10 :)
Tabs: - ability to set chrome to show the new tab-window when you close every other pages instead of quitting completely - when you have an empty new tab open, open links and history&download windows on it instead of on new tabs (dunno why I always open a new tab before clicking on the history or on the download button and it's annoying to have to close it after) - something to prevent tabs from becoming too small - when you open some 15-20 tabs they will become so minuscule that you can hardly see them (eg. scrolling tabs like in ie7 or something better) - incognito tabs instead of incognito windows? Downloads: - ability to continue downloads while chrome is closed & after switching the computer back on (so a proper download manager) Main window: - open bookmark manager in a new tab instead of a new window - ability to open multiple bookmarks easily in a row - question before exiting when multiple tabs are open (like in ie7) - ability to save, autosave&load window states (not just when shutting down improperly) - shortcut button for bookmarks (not just for making them) - when opening a chrome menu (I mean the upper-right buttons) open the other one when dragging the cursor over it (like in windows apps' dropdown menu bar or wtf) - add image properties button to the menu when right-clicking on pictures (and on img. props. window show filename, size, resolution etc., whatever you can think of ;) ) - real full-screen view with no scrollbars and tab bars and things like that (like F11 in ie with autohide switched on but without scrollbars and messagebars etc) Misc.: - google toolbar functions ;) - ability to add toolbars - access to ie's internet settings (connections, security etc.) - ie compatibility mode? (some "official" pages (like Hungarian online university application site for example) work only on ie - I hate ie :D) And a bug: when you switch winvista's theme from aero to vista standard with chrome running, chrome becomes all messed up - minimize, prev.size-fullsize&exit buttons disappear etc. Thanks for reading ;)' p.s. thx for making hotmail work on chrome again =) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Chromium Discussion mailing list: [email protected] View archives, change email options, or unsubscribe: http://groups.google.com/group/chromium-discuss -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
