I reckon this is better 1. Make the tab to a bit gold colour with a Lock Symbol to indicate tab has been locked or locked tab :: if you have like firewall programs or AntiVirus, you will prefer not to have notification message as I think its a bit annoying for me. 2. Make it available for short cut to lock a tab - ex. Ctrl + key :: this is because you don't need to right click on a tab to select lock. You may just close if you are using like mouse 3 to open or close the tab.
