Well, I found 3 "errant" userscripts that ran okay until build 12017.  They
are not specifically targeted to Gmail but the only thing I see in common is
they modify "search" behavior.  Gmail standard view fails with any one of
them running.  I renamed the .js to .bak on all three and now Gmail standard
view runs fine even with other userscripts running.  So, I guess it was just
my combination of userscripts.
