Hi Chrome Group, When Chrome Navigation was born, I totally appreciate the whole value of your working results. In reality, Chrome has so many special changes that makes different from another Navigator. Truly said that in the first day of releasing Chrome, I was very curious and I used Chrome for curiosity only. But the speed, the smooth and its light weight already convinced me. Although I installed and used Chrome, but it could not change my mind to leave IE7 of Microsoft ( we both clearly knew that IE7 is heavier, has a lot of errors, even IE7 is more slowly to load web sites and accupied more space of memory) and I am still using Chrome as my second choice. You know why?.
Please consider the inconveniences and advantages of IE7 and Chrome (in my own opinion): 1_) IE7: a - Inconveniences : - the speed ( middle of loading web pages) - has some errors (not usually). - closed automatically with un-specified, un-known error. b - Advantages : - Adapt to a lot of plugin (flash, images,..) - the users just only want to installed 1 times but use several times. - Personalized ability - User could change the size of button, color, font of character. Example: me, I am a developper, I have to read a lot of small codes lines a day. That's why I always like the program which could simply save a lot of space in the screen for reading, seeing all the things. And it very heavy to scroll to right or down to seeing more. With IE7, I could make all the button, the title bar, the menu, and its fonts.... smaller and I usually turn of all the other bar to save my screen space. But with Chrome, I could not do it. 2_) IE8: a- Inconveniences: - Has more a lot of errors. - Open the navigator IE8 is more slowly than IE7. - Not totally adapt to the current windows when upgrade from IE7 to IE8. Example: I have used IE7 in my Laptop, but a few days, I try to install IE8 to upgrade to IE7. But I am very dissapointed because, when I open IE8, it takes so much times than IE7. And when I try to open some page with flash, or some page that I usually read, IE8 prove that more slowly, and even become idle (frozen) so that I could not stop, close it. This occurs when I re-installed the Windows. b- Advantages: - The speed gradually improves (not much but clearly). - Save more screen space for the reading. - Personalized ability is still a quite changed. 3_) Chrome: a- Inconveniences: - The update is not clear. Example: My version is 0.1.. but I just want to upgrade and installe the newest version 1..., or 2.1.... I don't know how to do that. Even when to come to Chrome websites, it has not any information about that. Just only the button download Chrome but when I downloaded and installed it into my computer. The version is still not changed. - The adaptation with a lot of plugin is not totally supported (but with the newest version, it changes a lot - thank you about that). - The importance here is the Personalized Ability is still not changed from the first version (it has any) even the interface of Chrome has a lot of changes to save the screen space (the button, title bar, scroll bar, even the button to minimize, maximize and close the chrome...so big and accupied a lot of space). Sometimes, It makes me to think that Chrome is more bulky. I think this element is the mostly element which prevent the users to use Chrome. Notes: this element is not clearly applied in Firefox. b- Advantages: - The speed is faster that IE7, IE8 and the same with Firefox (but it is not so much clearly). - Fastest to open Chrome (great) - (IE7 is a quite good, but IE8 is still bad. Even Firefox still slowly). - Occupied a smaller space of memory (I love that). - When has an error, I could easily stop and close it (Firefox sometimes proves that such as IE8). - Chrome is not idle or frozen when the Operating System has error (sometimes but rare). Anyway, when we have the same number of plugin for IE7, IE8, and Firefox, they proves still bad to open and run smoothly. This is still the Chrome's advantage. We did not forgot the newest version of Safari. The speed of loading web page is a quite better than IE8,Firefox and Chrome and the interface is more beautiful. But Safari is still slowly to open. Please note that: the almost people (1% Chrome users) who use Chrome just for curiosity only and use Chrome because it could makes them different from another people (more professional or something special that they could show off to their friends. I did not like it, but sometimes we have to accept the reality. The security is still not the big problem here bacause we have always to changes and update it. The real thing is the easiest way to use Chrome but not in the Features, plugins and also the functions that the navigator must have. Example: a lot of people use Firefox but a lot of among them is developper because Firefox has so many features and function tha could support the users, the developper. But think that, that is the same significations the navigator will be more slowly. Firefox concentrate so much in the affaire to improve the speed of navigator but they forget the most simple thing that: WHAT THE USERS THINK. And in reality the speed when open Firefox is not improve and it makes the user think it still ...slowly. So that, if Chrome could changes the things as mention, I am sure that the Users will prefer Chrome to another web navigator. But even not for curiosity. Thanks.
