Ooooh you know what else you could do? Change the toolstrip to display
the shortened URL (maybe in a textbox?) and then select it. Then it is
just one keystroke to copy it and you don't need any extra UI at all.
When you mouseout of the toolstrip, it could go back to the default
UI.

The toolstrip will automatically resize as its dimensions change, so
it would create a cool effect I think.
