@Aaron He wants to run the user-script version... but the clue you gave him are right even in that case. I don't know why not to choose extension version (maybe he's using the 1.0)
@fletcher Firewall doesn't matter at all since the script you are trying to use runs only on localhost as all the JavaScript you encounter embedded on almost all the pages you see. BTW you are not installing AdSweep but a script to test all is running in the right way. When you've modified the shortcut used to run Chrome you need to restart the browser using the modified shortcut and an alert box will popup saying that userscript is running and nothing else... maybe you expected it to hide ads, but it's not the right script ;) AFAIK AdSweep only prevents ads from being displayed but they are downloaded to cache, so I've noticed no real time gaining. Assuming you are following guidelines from www.adsweep.org, on the same page you find the Flash Blocker script (extension too) that replaces Flash animation with a placeholder and with a button to make them play, preventing automatic start. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Chromium Discussion mailing list: [email protected] View archives, change email options, or unsubscribe: http://groups.google.com/group/chromium-discuss -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
