Chrome in general is fantastic, but downloads...

Resuming downloads isn't quite as faultless as Firefox 3, which is a
shame. Also would it be possible to implement a download queue? What
I mean is:
+ add a variable in the download settings, giving it a caption like
"Number of simultaneous downloads"
+ set up downloading so that if the user tries to download a large
number of files all at once, only the number of files specified in
settings will actively download at any one time, the remaining files
automatically starting as those before them complete.
+ it would be nice to have some way of re-ordering the queue on the
download manager page.
+ a more complicated feature would be to include a way of testing
where bottlenecking is occurring (i.e. is it at the source of the
download or nearer the user) and then automatically rearranging the
queue to reduce the total download time. For example, suppose I have
set the number of simultaneous downloads as 2. I then decide to start
downloading 3 videos from one server and 2 programs from another. In
terms of the total download time for all 5 files, it may be quickest
if I transfer from both servers at the same time rather than trying to
double the transfer speed from one server and then afterwards from the
other. Unfortunately this will complicate matters and will probably
require a whole load of new options to let the user show what their
priority is (a particular file or group of files, or the download time
for all files).
This sort of functionallity is useful if you intend to leave the
computer running in your absence for several hours...or days. So it
may be worth adding an option to shut down/hibernate the computer when
the downloading finishes.

I accept that this sort of functionality is normally handled by a
specialised download program rather than a browser, but I don't expect
that much extra code is needed to implement it (ignoring the last
feature) and including this functionality in the browser will make it
more accessible to those less technically aware.

Thanks. Keep up the incredible work!
