Not yet.When HTML 5 LocalStorage and LocalDatabase (or something of the same
natures) is implemented for web pages, it will also be implemented for
extensions.
Meanwhile, you can try and use the bookmarks API to store data, though I
understand it is quite hacky and not so reliable.
