I've opened your link with current dev release, 3.0.187.1 (Official build 18142), and it works perfectly. I've also tried some links: Featured Blogs, Take page tour, Change Theme, and others, and everything works. I've opened it, reloaded it, duplicated it, opened it in an Incognito window, and I haven't been able to reproduce a crash. I'm running Vista SP1 32 bit.
The only suggestion I could give you is trying to scan your pc using an antivirus program, or a tool such as Spybot Search & Destroy: maybe you have some kind of malware that prevents you from loading your homepage. Actually, I don't think this is the real reason, but it's the only thing I can think of.
