Why is that? Text on the bar wastes a lot of space. If there IS text it is revealed in hover; why would it be difficult to suppress text on the bar? Also, if favicons are downloaded from the sites each time, why can't those icons just be stored in cache, with reloading suppressed? And why can't they be loaded from another source and then cached? This seems like it would be an easy customization to make.
