I am trying to install the Gmail Checker extension from here http://dev.chromium.org/developers/design-documents/extensions/samples.
Sadly when I click on Install an error message popup saying: "Could not install extension from <download path here>. Failed to copy extension file to temporary directory." My shortcut to launch Google Chrome is: "C:\Documents and Settings\cns_dasi\Local Settings\Application Data \Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --enable-extensions My Chrome Version Is: 3.8.187.1 My OS is Windows XP SP3.
