I'm not absolutely sure what a mouse gesture is. My experience is
that you have to hold down a button as you move the mouse or click in
a certain area on the web page.
Since I started this particular item I downloaded a sidebar add-on for
Firefox and I'm able to do what I originally suggested. I move the
cursor to the screen edge and the sidebar appears. Move the cursor
off the side bar and it disappears. I don't have to touch a button
unless I want to select something from the side bar. Now I want an
similar add-on for the tool bars!
