I guess it does, there is tab-size threshold though where when the tab
is small enough we do not show the close button unless is has focus.
This is precisely to avoid closing a tab while trying to select it. So
normally, when the close button of an unselected tab shows, it is
because the tab is significantly bigger than the close button.
