Chromium runs as a totally separate application from Google Chrome. So when running Chromium for the first time, it can import bookmarks from IE, just like the first run of Google Chrome does. And Chromium being a separate application keeps its own separate copy of bookmarks, saved passwords, user profile, etc. The Chromium has nothing to do with any Google Chrome that may or may not also be installed on your computer. If you want your existing bookmarks to also show in Chromium, use the Bookmark Manager. Export your existing bookmarks from Chrome and then run Chromium and import them. > b. The Trunk versions are the testing builds of fixes and patches made to the Chromium code as developers commit updates. If you are really interested in what changes are done in the Trunk builds, you can look at: http://groups.google.com/group/chromium-reviews/ http://codereview.chromium.org/ and see what changes are being committed into each revision. In fact, there are two locations to download and test Trunk versions: http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/continuous/ http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/snapshots/ The "snapshots" versions are just successful compiles; the "continuous" versions also pass all the current automated tests. > I have couple of queries for google updater as well but found out its > an unofficial client and there is no e-mail id on the site :( PhistucK already mentioned that: > There is *no official automatic way*, or a fully automated way [to update the Trunk builds]. Trunk builds are not meant to be automatically updated; you can download and test them if you have something to test.
