didn't see it on first visit too...

i was thinking about it, and there are some more points.

is it hysteria?

i am sending my whole history to google all the time while using
chrome. will they point at at me and say "na na you followed a link to
site xyz, so forget all your chances in life"? (i think it would be
more interesting to think about which chances i could have and why,
but thats another story).

there is a new law here in germany which allows authorities to block
child-porn-websites via dns-servers , you will see a stopsign instead
(rather useless if you ask me). in first versions of that law, ip
addresses of people getting there should be kept, this was dropped
because you could get there by error, or a malicious link.

same story on every link, imho.

the not so dark side is: google is making money of it somehow. i am
fine with that. i get something back for something i would do anyway
(sufing the web). which is: chrome and other software (wave, maps, app-
server etc.). and it is no crap you can batch to the back of your car,
it is clean and well done and *open*.

its not a matter of trust, i just think it doesn't say anything
(important) about me.
