Editing 400 png's was the "hackish" way doing it  (caused lots of bugs),
they used to edit the .dll and replace the resources. But, themes is now
implemented in Chrome, all you do is create an extension.

to do a custom theme creator where we could alter each area within a UI.
Maybe in the near future.
