It would be really nice if the Chrome team gave it some exposure. I just noticed there's a featured series on the main Moderator site (http://moderator.appspot.com/) called Suggest an Android Application. If my Suggest a Chrome Extension made it to that "Features Series" list, it would probably become quite useful to extension developers and the Chrome team, in case someone suggests something so good that it should really be built into the browser.
